Sandy and I have always enjoyed driving cross country, rather than flying over. Generally we have had some specific purpose for our trips, visiting family and friends or while in the military moving from one assignment to the next. This is our first trip just to see some of the country and selected to follow Route 66 just because.
Actually I’m intrigued by the diners/restaurants that I’ve seen on the Food Network, so we are combining two things I like, driving and eating.
