Motor Courts – Tucumcari New Mexico

Saw two old style motels (Motor Courts), the Blue Swallows sign is typical of what would have been the norm during the haydays of Route 66 in the 50’s and early 60’s. The “Historic Route 66 Motel” has updated it’s sign, but the building remains the basic ”U” shaped single story configuration typical of motel/motor courts of that era.
